Tobyn Aaron is a Senior Associate in our Tokyo office, and a licensed California attorney and member of the State Bar of California. She specializes in the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), US federal data privacy law, China's Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL), Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information, and US corporate and employment law. Ms. Aaron specializes in providing global data protection regulatory advice and compliance support to Japanese companies and their overseas subsidiaries and branch offices. She works directly with the firm's founding partners, representing clients across a range of industry sectors, including: automotive, automobile parts, chemical, cloud computing, electrical appliances, educational services, financial services, government agencies, insurance, human resources, information technology, social network services, textiles, legal services, and telecommunications.

Prior to joining S&K Brussels LPC in 2020, Ms. Aaron served as a Corporate Associate in Ropes & Gray's Tokyo Office and in Morrison & Foerster's San Francisco Office. Ms. Aaron received her B.A. with honors from Harvard College and her J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School, where she served as Executive Editor of the Harvard National Security Journal.
