Seminar on June 25, 2026 "Understanding the Key Points of the EU Digital Omnibus Proposal and Key Considerations for Compliance".(held by Joho Kiko)

We will be holding a seminar hosted by Joho Kiko.

The Digital Omnibus proposal published by the European Commission on November 19, 2025, is a significant amendment initiative that seeks to comprehensively review the institutional framework of EU digital regulation, with a particular focus on the GDPR and the AI Act. As of the scheduled date of this seminar, June 25, 2026, it is anticipated that the proposal will be in one of several possible stages: fully adopted, partially adopted, or still under legislative deliberation.

This seminar will systematically examine the key issues in light of the latest legislative developments as of the date of the event. The main topics will include revisions to the definition of personal data, the positioning of pseudonymisation, the restructuring of automated decision-making (Article 22 of the GDPR), the handling of special categories of personal data, and adjustments to the application of the high-risk AI framework. The session will also provide an explanation of the practical considerations for Japanese companies.
