We are pleased to invite you to our upcoming webinar on the EU NIS 2 Directive and the EU Cyber Resilience Act.

Cybersecurity is increasingly being regulated in the European Union, resulting in more and more obligations for companies. The EU NIS 2 Directive aims to strengthen the cybersecurity requirements, address the security of supply chains, streamline incident reporting obligations, and introduce more stringent supervisory measures and stricter enforcement requirements, including harmonized sanctions across the EU. The Cyber Resilience Act complements the existing EU cybersecurity framework and seeks to impose cybersecurity obligations for manufacturers, importers and distributors of Internet-of-Things products.

During the webinar, we will discuss the impact of the NIS 2 Directive and the Cyber Resilience Act on Japanese companies doing business in Europe and/or with European customers. We will also provide an overview of the key provisions of the NIS 2 Directive and the Cyber Resilience Act. The webinar will be conducted by S&K Brussels with a team of legal experts at CMS, who have extensive experience in advising clients on EU cybersecurity regulations.
